Hi mates,

I dowbloading this program to test it because I never played with Tracking headset.
The soft works fine, but in the game nothing.... I'm quite newbie with Track IR, and of course Facetracking, but I you could explain to me how to configure it for IL2, I will be very very thankful ;o)

Thanks in advance,

Ted

It crashes with FSX, couldn't get it working with Il-2.

In IL2, did you have the 6dof mod for trackir installed? Just wondering. I use TrackIR. I have friends who were considering the facetracking program, so I was hoping it would work with IL2.

Guys sorry for the video I need some free tlme to record it....... But the good news is that This software works very well with il2!!!! there are a lot of people out there trying to make it perfect. on my rig it is 95% perfect, i think that with a more powerfull pc everyting would be all right, but i can't complain i can fly, fight, take off and land with it and it is great not to have to deal with the headset!!!

this is a link where you'll find all the informations and the downloads you need...

I have Freetrack for about 2 years I guess and works very well but it would be nice to have a tracking system without 3 LEDs on my headset. I gave TrackNoIR a chance and it worked okay with IL2. Big Grin
The reason why I keep on using Freetrack is that TrackNoIR needs more light on my face than I have at the moment (or maybe it has to do with my cheap webcam...). And positioning my PC more to the window at daytime or shining a spotlight on my face during the evening hours isn't an option.
But yes it works with IL2 (enabled 6 DOF through JSGME in HSFX 4.1).

Hi Mates!

Downloaded FaceTrackNoIr but could not launch program. Cry
"Incorrect configuration..."

They said: "Reinstall may solve..."
I did it a couple of times. No success!

Do you have some idea about what is missing?
My webcam is a Microsoft Lifecam VX 1000

Many thanks for your attention!

Trainz and X-Plane are on there! *screams with delight* :OO
Battlefield 2 is not. *cries* :x
Going to try to install it tonight, and I hope it works.
I wonder if it will only work if you have an integrated cam?(Which I have)

It works with both; integrated and external.

Thanks for sharing info, i'm going to try it. I'm not using any tracker yet, and was considering TrackIR (since I couldn't get Freetrack to work) but, since I use to spend half of my week in a barrack, so far I've tried to avoid that because of "social" problems it can bring...

...You know what I mean, right? "Non-players" already stare at me with disgust when they see me handle a joystick. Wearing a shiny multiple LEDs headset would definitely make a hopeless nerd of me ;dd

This, being MUCH more discrete, would just be the thing Big Grin

Tried the 1.30 version, failed to launch, read on-site troubleshooting hints...

...AND IT WORKS!

Most noticeably, IT'S WORKING WITH THE BUILT-IN WEBCAM OF MY LAPTOP (a SONY Vaio), which is surely not the best camera around. And, despite this, it manages to keep tracking even in unfavourable lighting conditions (window on my back). Of course, I'll have to take my time to calibrate it and find a better lighting, but the starting point is very promising.

I'll run an intensive testing session  in the next few days and then i'll let you know. for now, thumbs up!

P.S. I suggest this thread to be moved into the "utilities" section.
