Road plate mod
#16

I mean FMB+
There are three types of FMB......
Default
FMB+..... which has enhanced features
Fully unlocked FMB ...for map-making only

(The link is inoperative)
(The link is inoperative)

basically....you can select a group of Objects and move/rotate them
it also shows EVERY Object in your static.ini....... all the airfield plates etc.
and in 3D mode (object selected (flashing).... and pressed Enter) you will see the static ini object name at the bottom of the screen

I forgot about FMB+ as I've never used it. I presume from what you've just written that they will be
available in the FMB+.

Cheers

Very interesting.

If I understand well, this mod can be used to build new maps and retrofit modded maps, but it can also be used to edit the stock maps of the game, and can be used to change just the roads and railway lines of stock maps? In that case it means a lot of work, but probably very nice stock maps after modifying them that way, in addition to the new textures introduced thanks to editing the load.ini.

Although a map-maker can choose to use these to build certain parts of his rail/road network...we must remember that the default trains/vehicles will not follow these lines, and will not lock to them.

they will probably be used most by mission-builders who want nicer looking curves and intersections.....in the area particular to their mission...the target area or areas of interest upon the flight line

more work for the mission-builders....but there are many who enjoy trying to get things as accurate as they can....this is just another option Big Grin

Indeed it works great in FMB+.

Many thanks for this excellent mod! A great step towards more immersion.

I suppose the real value will be in adding extra non-essential but picturesque addition to a standard IL2 rail- or road nettwork, thus helping to camouflage the ugly zigg-zagg roads and lines.

The maker of the new Hawaii map has been waiting for this.... it seems ideal for small areas like islands with a simple road system, and for adding roads to airfield perimeters and docks or towns.

Adding them right now. Fiddly things if not on the flat.

@Kevinp,
I cannot express enough my gratitude for your work you kindly submit to us.
As a retarded map-maker, I found this marvellous mod only now. Sad
Surely will use it in the present work on East Balt map. Smile
