G'day!

Okay so, I have purchased 1946 and PF! I recently found out that if the files are copied from the disc in the IL2 Sturmovik folder, it will work without being installed or the disc in the drive! I just wanted to ask, if 1946 and PF are installed WITHOUT the disc using the copy/paste function, will I still be able to get mods? And which mod is th eone that enables all aircraft?

The 1946 has Pacific Fighters in it, but I don't think you lost too much money in it.

It's always better to install than copy-paste, but both will work.

Hi Jake,

I'll confirm you that you can COPY/PASTE your Disc on our computer before installing it, will work.
I did it because on my laptop, I couldn't lauch Autorun from CD player... So I Copy/Paste it before installation.

If I have a good remember, in the DISC you will find 3 differents Files (1034, 1035 and 1036 or something like that...) with the same files and an AUTORUN. Each folders are the same, but in different languages (German, English and French on my disc, I think it will depend on the area you purchased the game). Don't hesitate to launch each AUTORUN to check the language, you can Exit easily ;o)

When you will have launch the AUTORUN in the language you like, follow instructions, and after that check HERE. So, you will be able to launch installation, and after a clean installation, you will be able to install MODS. Before installing Mods, please READ CAREFULLY this topic (from Fireskull, whose Planemad and KG64_Cnopicilin talked about, all 3 good guys ;o).

I'm playing with Ultrapack, but there is a lot of MOD Packs so you have the choice ;o)

I hope this topic will help you to do what you want, don't hesitate to come back in this forum if you need more things ;o)
