Video He-51C1 attacked by a Mosquito
#1

Just went, last weekend on M4T to fetch a lonesome set of QBM missions newly posted there,*
for the map MidAlpen... Unfortunately they needed debugging, at least for me...
It was a None mission without a player assigned, and a Scramble mission where a lone Mossie was
given flight number gb0103, conflicting with the four basic programmable quick flights:
gf0100,g0101,g0102 and g0103, or r0100, r0101, r0102 and r0103.
After changing to flight gb0113, all became very well...

I had flown for the past few day's the He-51 in Spain where I was shot down 10 times out 10
by those pesky Rata's, so I decided to try a leisure flight around in my newly installed "map" in QBM...

As I was gliding along over the city of Munchen, enjoying the ride, I then asked myself: Am'I on
the None mission or the Scramble one? I just took-off, so it must be on the Scramble mission.
Isn't there supposed to be a fifth flight Mosquito lurking around in there ? So I open-up
the mini-map, but saw no other red planes then a far distant incoming B-24 flight.

The city of Munchen now lays nearby, a huge red blotch on the map. Sh...tt must
be there hidden over it, and sure enough as I saw something moving, took
immediate action by turning towards the attacker, just seconds before I was blasted out of the skies...

After sustaining three dive attacks, I managed to shot down the intruder, barely avoiding the nasty forward confrontations...

The Video (14.59 min):

In fact, at the time of the video, it was my second duel with the mossie, the first time I still had my Spanish skin on.
After changing the skin to a German one, and rigging the game for making an "ntrk record", I took off a second time,
enjoying the ride along so well, YES AGAIN, enjoying the ride so well , that I totally forgot what I was doing and found
myself at the exact same moment in time where I was about to be blown apart, when I remembered what I was there for.
Strangely enough it unfolded the exact same way as the previous encounter, three dive attacks and shot-it-down !!!!

The ntrk (18.50 min/ 5.5mb ):

This is my first time ever video and post on U-tube. I have always wondered why, we never find the original sound of IL-2
on any of the videos; now I now why!
So it became a challenge to:
A- Make my first video post ever.
B- Make a complete game record video, from take-off to landing.
C- Make a video WITH the original sound of IL2 as it happens!!!!

* 4 missions, register at M4T then : http://www.mission4today.com/index.php? ... loads3&c=6

This leads you singles in missions4mods; also check new QBM section from now on...

Sounds like you had some fun with my QMB missions! (I'm aka L.Z.., on M4T. My first callsign was "SKULLS_L.Z", for my 1st IL-2 squadron "the SKULLS" -- I hope nobody remembers that squad, because it would make it obvious what an old-timer I am.)

I'm downloading the .ntrk, and look forward to watching it!

I just uploaded some new missions to M4T for the Rabaul beta map, I hope you bug check them too!

I have already downloaded them yesterday, and the map, but I do not have installed the Beta-Rabaul map yet...
...seems it is bound to be upgraded... Are there enough airfields in there already ? :o

On M4T I was limited to one review... could not add the video link...
Posts at M4T are in downloads4mods\ missions\ singles
Have you notice they now have added: 4mods\ missions\ QBM ...section ?
They never change the actual posting positions wonder why...?
In skins for mods, there is the Ju-88 with most of other-mods skins in it, and it has been that way for quite a while...

I didn't know it until you mentioned it. I also just noticed there doesn't seem to be anyone else posting QMB missions on M4T, I guess because nobody else thought of posting them under the "Single Player" section.

I'm very disappointed you went straight back to RTB after shooting down that Mossie, when there were Liberators inbound. With that marksmanship I would have expected you to bag 2 or 3 more kills on that sortie. 8)

Yep ! I thought about that ...a lot planes flying about that you don't program before the ride, so you don't expect so much traffic
in "a all alone Quick ride"! The scramble set in, was a leftover from a previous ride... I Could have been on None, as I did mentioned...

Second time was a replay of my earlier ride to make the video, which turn out too long anyway ( see first reply...).
(19.40 cut to 14.59 to satisfy U-Tube)...

It will be easy, in a Quick to try this again, time permits.

Anyone can try. M4T. Missions4mods. Singles. Munchen.
