Saitek throttles lost calibration
#1

Hi!

I have two of these:
[Image: saitek-pro-flight-throttle-quadrant.3939242.jpg]

Now the one I use for Il-2 has started malfunctioning. When they are at 100%=facing up the values jump from full to about half.
In Il-2 the problem shows up as harder power control as the power changes between 110-60% without touching the sticks!

I tried to recalibrate it with the windows default calibration program but it only helps for a short amount of time.

I still do have the warranty so I would not like to open them up, and as I live in finland and I bought them from eBay it's not cheap to send them back.

clear calibration utility might be of use to you?

http://www.wingmanteam.com/latest_softw ... %20Utility

be warned it clears ALL calibrations, so you will have to recalibrate all devices.
has worked for me in the past when things drift- but could be a sign of electronics failing in your throttle- partic the bit that it recalibrates for a while then drifts again

i'd try a warning email to seller to establish you have a problem and to gauge their likely response .

if all else fails the cheapest repair might be one of leo bodnars controllers- but that's a last resort

That is a interesting chase indeed!

I've got the Saitek X-65F and in Il-2 4.10m with the right throttle I've got only a 110% and 55% power.
The left throttle is working fine.

Another colleague got the very same problem!
Which I'm quite sure - it's not the calibration or software from Saitek - it might be 4.10m

I do use the throttle only with the Saitek software and programmed it another way, so I can use both throttle - but only
in 5% steps. It works fine for me so far. One throttle is pitch the other power....

We may have to wait a bit for TD to have a look!?

In fact it's not the problem of 4.10, it was in all versions of Il-2 I have (4.08, 4.09, 4.10 and ultrapack 2.01).

Nonononono it's not fixed! It just appears in all game versions, so it's not the patch's fault!

EDIT: omg 4500 posts... I should slow down

Would be great if it wasn't international call. I think I'll email saitek.

Thanks!

I just emailed them and I am waiting for the response.

I've heard that the pots used are trim pots which should not even be used in such things.

Hi Cnop,

Oh, I'm sorry! I never used my stick just with IL-2, only with the Saitek software.
With 4.10 its the first time and I realized it just then...
But its still very interesting - its with your throttle and with my X-65F...
I think, I still leave it in the Bug thread for 4.10.
At least 4.10 should support now two throttle or even more!?

And - congrats for your 4500 post!
