Creating Airfields in 4.10 Map Builder
#1

I am having the following problem on a map I am working on that will be ready for release once I figure out a few issues. Here is my problem, if anyone is an airfield expert any help would be greatly appreciated:

1. The aircraft all land and follow the taxiways to the parking areas highlighted in GREEN with no problems.
2. When the GREEN spots are filled, the aircraft try to use the spots highlighted in RED.
3. When they get to the end of the runway at spot 1 or 2, they shoot off in the direction of the BLUE arrows at 1 or 2 instead of taking the YELLOW taxiways as they should, therefore crashing into the trees.
4. There are no objects blocking either the YELLOW taxiways or the RED parking spots (I have tried moving the exisiting trees away, but that did not solve the problem)

NOTE:

I have been testing these with B-29's.

Also, how long do runways need to be in order for the AI to take off large 4 engine bombers like the B-24 and B-29? One of my other runways is 1946 m (6200+ ft) long and the one in the picture above is 1285 m long (4215 ft). I tested loaded AI B-24's on the 6200 ft runway and they all were not able to get off the ground before going down a slope, then into some tress, then into the ocean. A bit ridiculous if you ask me.

Hi,
Have you tried to add two seperate Spots only for the yellow Taxiway? Or maybe the spots for the Taxiways are to close to the runway icon?!
Btw: I have the same problem with the B-24!

Indeed it is. But the taxiways are giving me trouble at the moment. The map is literally ready to go besides a few problems with the taxiways. If someone can help me with them I will release it in the next week.

Try testing with a very small fighter like an I-153. This will show you if the taxiways are truly clear of obstructions.

When on full zoom there needs to be at least 4 grid squares distance between taxiways and any objects to allow the
largest aircraft to pass through.

Just looking at the map, the only thing I can think of is that they are heading to the waypoints in the "middle" because they are the closest ones to the stay points.

Have you tried testing without the waypoints in the middle?

Something else happened to me once. .. instead of making taxi waypoints I had stay points so the planes did something similar to what yours did.
