DCG Korea 1950-53 V1.4/V1.5 for DBW

Hi,
Campaign have been tested offline with IL2 1946 V4.09m / UP 2.01/ HSFX 4.1 and DCG V3.46!

Changes in V1.1:
------------------------
1. Changed take off direction and height at some airfields
2. Changed transition height and speed for all jets to save fuel!
3.Changed class of the F-84G1/G2 as a ground attack aircraft and payload, also changed payload for the F9F2!
(see "AI ground attack upgrade v 1.03")
4. Reduced fuel to 75% of the P2V5 Squadron for better take off performance!
5. Removed the U-2VS (added the Pe-2-Series359) with the appearens of the Mig-15! (The U-2VS is much to slow for the Mig-15 during escort missions!)
6. Moved all Royal Navy squadrons via timetable to the related carrier, so that the player dont start from an airfield at mission start!
7. Moved all UN squadrons to safer airfields at campaign start for subcampaign "The stalemate"!
8. Deactivated Pusan Airfield as an useable airfield! (aircrafts crashed to often into the hills during landing)

Without this Mod, mainly the AI Mig-15bis has only for c.a. 1/2 hour fuel for a mission!


AI ground attack upgrade v 1.03 by Checkyersix (Works for UP 2.01 and HSFX 4.1)

This mod prevents, that the jets drill into the ground during a ground attack!

I also recommend to use the "Tougher bridges" mod via "JSGME" for this campaign, otherwise the bridges would be destroyed too quickly during the ground fighting!

23.09.2012: Changes V1.5 DBW

1.Added the possiblility to include the Meteor by (crazyflak/Loku/Ranwers) and the P-82 by (Checkyersix) to the campaign! The Meteor is available in the fourth subcampaign for the RAAF, the P-82 in the first subcampaign for the USAAF!
2.I have made Pusan Airfield DCG compatible (see KTO map patch for this campaign) and added it to all subcampaigns!
3. Added Radio vehicles to every airfield!
4. Removed all types of the Mig-15 from the KPAAF career and therefor available in the PLA career!
5.Fixed a bug for a Tu-2 Squadron in the last subcampaign, which DCG has used for the allied!
6.I reduced a bit the number of the North Korea Squadrons to a more historical level in all subcampaigns!

very good and long awaited! thanbks, I will try that definitelySmile

I think it was like two or three years ago the first Korea campaign WIPs for DCG started, with Ta-183s as Mig and sabres and stuff like that.

Hi,
I must admit I was somewhat skeptical in the beginning, if this campaign works!
Particularly as aircraft are involved with extremely different engine performance in air combat!
The doubts vanished, however!
I flew a test mission with three other F9F2 and soon had a fight with 8 La-7! 3 F9F2 were shot down, including me! And only 2 La-7 on the other side!
I must admit I thought it would be easier!

Changes in V1.2:
------------------------
1. Reduced numbers of static objects at the main Citys for both sides!
2. Added a fobjects.dcg file to modify the artillery for both sides! The main reason was, that the tanks should have now more Flak cover at "all" locations!
(Its more an experiment, so if you want the old artillery configuration back, simple remove the fobjects.dcg file out of the campaign folder and start a new campaign!)
3. Added the RN Carrier "Illustrious" instead of the "Shamrock Bay" as the Light Carrier "Triumph", so that now all RN squadrons should stay at this carrier and shouldnt transfer to an airstrip on land during the campaign!
4. Added a few Pe-2-Series359 Dive Bomber Squadrons instead of the U-2VS to the first both subcampaigns, to increase a bit the effectivity against ships!
5. Reworked Waypoints at Seoul City bridge! Artillery was out of range during combat!

Another quick update for the campaign and it should be the last!

Changes in V1.3
------------------------
1. Reworked RN Carrier Taskforce routes! The KPA aircrafts often couldnt find the RN Taskforce during "Attack ships" missions!
2. Reduced numbers of escort ships in the USN Carrier Taskforce for all subampaigns (Ships crashed sometimes together)!
3. Added a Transport squadron to each side!
4. Its now possible to fly as a Helicopter H19D or HRS3 pilot in all four subcampaigns (The AI cant control helicopters, so you are the only one in your squadron)!
The "H19D" has the role of a ground attack aircraft and the "HRS3" of a transport in the campaigns!
Many thanks to "Flakiten", who made this possible!

IMPORTANT: Before you install any files for the additional aircrafts/helicopters, please take a look in the Read me file "PLEASE READ BEFORE INSTALLATION!!!"

I've found a few things that I wanted to change yet:

Changes in V1.4
------------------------
1. Removed static vehicles from all buildings of the citys, so that DCG can create missions against targets of more strategic importance, like airfields and bridges in all subcampaigns!
2. Changed frontline position for the last subcampaign, to avoid a ground battle at Suwon airfield where most of the allied AI aircrafts are at campaign start!
3. Added static aircrafts to all airfields of both sides and added a droptank for the F9F2 for long range flights!
4. Only if you have installed the H19D and HRS3 by "Flakiten": Added two AI helicopter squadrons to all subcampaigns, which is possible with the Mod "Helicopter flown by AI v1.2" (Many thanks to "Flakiten","Checkyersix" and "Epervier")! More in the "Read me" file!

Hi,
This version is created for DCG 3.47beta (strongly recommended!)

Important Note:
The Mig-15bislate is not installed in DBW 1.71 standard installation, but can be selected in the IJA KPAAF Fighter campaign!

I added also a PLA Fighter campaign, which included the Mig-15 SB!

Many thanks to "78thFG_WindWpn", who had the idea and made the groundwork for the Korean/Chinese markings for this version!

To use some objects of this mod for the campaign make the following:

1. Let DCG creating the first mission, then switch to Desktop!

2. Open the new created .mis file (with Date) in your "/Missions/Campaign/"Service"/Dgen_PilotsName" folder with an Editor and copy the three lines at the end of the [NStationary] section!

Example: Gunner (GNR),Spotter (SPR), Ground_Attack (Level, for both sides)

If you play for the Allied:

3. Save it and let the campaign folder open, back to IL-2 and play the mission, and later same procedure for the next mission!

Looks complicated, but its a really quick thing with ctrl+c and ctrl+v!

Note: Dont copy these lines into the "KTO1(_UN)","KTO2(_UN)","KTO3(_UN)" or "KTO4" .mis files, otherwise will use DCG these objects as targets for missions!
