Trying to install SAS buttons
#1

Hi i have UP 2.01 and ive been trying to install the latest SAS buttons so i could add the HRS-3 helicopter, but i can't seem to find where to install the SAS buttons to. It tells me to IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\MODS\STD\gui\game\Buttons but i dont have a mods folder and there isnt one inside my Jsgmemods folder either. Sooo in short im wondering how if anyone could give me exact instructions on how to install the SAS buttons. Thanks a lot i know its a pain.

If your using UP2.01, place the buttons file in IL-2 Root Directory\Files\gui\game

You don't have to put it in the STD folder.

I tried that so the two button files are in Files/gui/game. I think it might be adding the two lines to air.ini thats the problem, because if i remove them the game works fine. Any clue?

Yep, big clue when you said TWO buttons files. "There can be only one." You need to get rid of the older buttons file, it causes the conflict.

Well i extracted it and it came with an online and offline button. Its still not the button thats doing it. The game only crashes when i add the lines to air.ini. This is frustrating :/

They provide two buttons files, but you can only use one of them. Use the online buttons file. take all the rest out.

As for the Air.ini, you need to make sure the entries are exactly right. anything missing or misspelled will cause problems.
