The Nieuport 28 had a rotary engine.

So my question is, will the engine turn with the propeller, or will the only moving part (propultion wise) be the good ol' wooden propeller?

First welcome stef_1993 to AAS IL2 site and the CK forums. Smile
All rotary motors turn with the props as one.

It just occurred to me though; Siemens-Schuckert produced there own engines the Siemens-Halske Sh series where they managed to make the crankshaft rotate clockwise, whilst the prop was anti-clockwise. They great reduced torque this way.

Would be nice to model this in too.

It is already model in the SSW D3, the motor turns one way and the
Prop the other way and reduces the torque.
