From what I know the one that was made for 4.09 is no longer
Available as it went to TD and was put out in a TD official IL2 4.10 patch.

What about inspecting your aircraft menu or your official 409m readme guide? :)

Not in my version, full 4.09 AAA upgraded - checked everywhere - definitely no SM79 in there anywhere !!! Must be something wrong with my instal.

So maybe you only have the beta version 4.9b wich didn't include any new planes. Then you have to download the full version 4.9m.

Double check to see if it is not an AI only plane, in which case it will only appear in FMB.

I really don't see how can you have a 409m version of game (it says "409m" on launching screen, right?) working properly and with no SM79 inside.

Sorry, your story does not fit.

You have

files in your game folder, right?

Your "air.ini" is complete, right?

Do you have DXXI and CW21 planes?

Also, what was your game version before patching?

Okay guys, worked it out. I had been using a very old version of the Mod Activator and I am now using the latest version, somewhere in between I managed to loose some files including the SM79. Rebuilt my version of the game from scratch over the weekend and everything is now where it should be.

Thanks for your interest and help, a couple of posts pointed me to where things were going wrong, so thanks again for your help.
