I've downloaded & installed all 3 of the beta patches , but I don't seem to be able to get skin function to work- the skins do show up in "your plane" utitity,but not in actaul game play.Also German 109s & 110s show up all light blue occssionally - what gives? The beta patches??/ :|

K I'll try to sort this out. Firstly, what beta patch are you using please can you give number of patch. Also where have you saved the skins on your computer. And in what file format have you saved the skins. It should be 2048x2048 and in JPeg format. Also any screens of the problems will be appricated to see if it a bug.

Have loaded all three patches including 4th of May...Most of the skins are already in the skin folder( and there are a lot of them) ,included either originally or in the patches..have not checked their size.Screenshots also not working but can handle that with FRAPs..What would you like to see - the lovely Herman Goering Blie 109 & 110?

Here are relevant screens ( i hope)

Any ideas? Thinking of taking the sime back to last "perfect install " from Steam & see if that makes any difference...I wonde if Ishould bother reinstalling patches at that point?

kk i see you saved them as jpeg and that they are 2048x2048.

alright the problem for this is most definately the patch but i cant say for certain as you havent included you build number, found in the bottom right hand corner of your main menu screen, once you give me this i can ask 1c for you, but at the moment i lack the relevant info

my best guess is that is definately a bug in the beta patch. the patch from the 18th april is fine with skins i reccommend rolling back your updates to this patch.

See??? Many thanks for this tip.It is my understanding that the last beta has disabled the change skins option ,but I'll live with that until the big patch coming slolves all problems...For now I'm happy ...even with low ( 18-35) FPS I really like this sim !!!

BTW- Does anyone know the keystrokes ( if there are any...) that will allow me to track ( zoom ) slowly in or out from any of the exterior (F2) views.I have closeup & wideangle but can't vary them by zoomong in & out as i can with mouse in Il-2...ideas? :roll:
