I'm having some problem here. I have windows 7, I installed IL2 1946 on my computer. Then went to get the 410 patch.

I download the 410 patch, and then unzip it and click to install, it acts like it installs, then I get a message that it didn't install correctly, or other times it just stops in the middle of installation and goes away.

The same happens when i try 409, and 408. The game already comes with 407.

I open the game each time and it still says 407.

I've tried more than one mirror for the DL, and the same thing happens.

I'm not sure what is going on here. What do I need to do?

With Win 7 DO NOT INSTALL in programs 86
What ever you do install out side of programs.
Also make installs as the ADMIN of the system.

After that you should be fine.

I have Win7 X 64 and it all runs fine.

Ok, I just did exactly that.

Same thing.

During the installation the progress bar starts to fill, then starts to fill faster, as it reaches the end the whole window disapears and that is it. Nothing happens, no confirmation saying it is finished or anything, just goes away.

Then I open IL-2 and it still says 4.07m.

Do I have to install forgotten battles or anything else?

Literally this is all I did.

1. Install my DVD ram of IL-2 1946
2. Download 4.09m from Mission4today, and other sources. Also tried with 4.08 and 4.10.
3. Unzipped File
4. Clicked the file to install the patch in a directory outside of Programs.
5. Starts to install and window disappears.

Before I also put on my computer the HSFX files, I have two Ubisoft folders, Ubisoft and Ubi soft. I'm not sure if the HSFX is doing anything weird or not, I put it on my desktop, but I think I ran the install.
