First welcome Bomberflieger to AAs IL2 site.
You can start here and read;
viewtopic.php?f=29&t=29314
Then you can go here, these are the mod packs and their sites and you
Need to have one of these to get to where you want your IL2 to be, so do
Much reading to find out what would be best for you on what you want
For your IL2 game, most all of these mod packs have the stock IL2
Non-flyable's flyable and then some others as well.

First read, read, read so you will get to know what is out there.
Hope that helps.

Hi Bomberflieger, it could be many things here is just a few,
1, not being install correctly.
2, corrupt download.
Here is what I would do, go join a squadron and here is why
They can take and 1 on 1 with you and get you going and
Some have a IL2 package of their own for their squad that
Most times is a all in one easy setup,
Here is the squadron list on this site;

First thing to do is to install the patches,
1st: 4.08m
2nd: 4.09m
3rd: 4.10m
Bomberflieger, were you able to get the help you needed? I am also a newbie and am learning the "ropes" of modding the IL2 game. I typically install flyable aircraft but the learning curve is more of patience than what you are trying to mod(ify) in you IL2 game. There is a process though that if followed makes modding IL2 much less frustrating.
Hi Bombenflieger,
Try Ctrl + D (in the command configuration this is the command for Solar Gunsight On/Off) if I have a good remember...
Try this and keep me update ;o)
Ted
Your Welcome !!!
Have Fun Nick, and welcome here at AAS ;o)

Hi Bomberflieger,
