how hard is it to join in a plane (like a bomber) that another person is flying? I want to have a LAN group all join up in a b-17, with each person having their own position, like belly turret, rear gun, etc.

This feature only available in Up-3. Make your host check "enable multiple crews" and "let people join in during flight" and you all should be able to join in the same plane of different position.
