Manifold Air Press. gage still screwed in this new hsfx rel.
#1

When HSFX 5.0 came out I reported both hear and at 242sqn that the gage was wrong. Whoever "improved" the cockpit had copied the wildcat gage and put it into all of the F4U cockpits. I was told at both web sites that it would be addressed by the next version of HSFX. We had to wait a year for it to be fixed. Guess what it is still wrong. Whoever "corrected" the gage was lazy because they kept the wildcat gage in the F4U and added the numbers 60 and 70. It looks like crap, is not anywhere close to accurate and makes it almost impossible to fly the corsairs without overheating the engine because you have no idea what you are actually setting for MAP when you move the throttle.

Don't believe me take a look at this gage in all the stock game versions and all HSFX versions prior to version 5.0.

The manifold air pressure gages for all of the corsairs are still screwed up after the patch. Take a look at the stock gage and then compare it to the hsfx version, the numbers don't even line up with marks. Makes it real difficult to fly especially now that they TD adjusted the power settings of the aircraft. Another issue is the gage lighting. In the stock game all gages are lit up, the needles & numbers & lines. In the hsfx version the gages in the corsairs to the rights side of the panel are not lit up, only the needles show up.

This is a good case for having a choice in the JSGME folder for being able to select the stock cockpits, because the new and improved cockpits aren't cutting it at least in the corsairs. This problem has been ongoing for over a year.
