Hurricane MkI P/O Irving Smith[NZ]No.151 Sq. 1940

Pilot Officer Irving ‘Smith from New Zealand joined 151 Squadron in July 1940 and quickly became involved in the Battle of Britain during which he scored six kills.
Smith's aircraft could easily be distinguished by the Maori Tiki emblem above the Port Fuselage Roundel.
Smith went on to play a leading role in Operation Jericho, the RAF’s historic raid on the German prison at Amiens in February 1944, during which he piloted a de Havilland Mosquito IV.

Thanks a lot Mate Its good to be back, as I told Ted it has been a busy last few weeks
renovating the house and Xmas but hope to do some more skins soon.
