You ask:
"OK - but if a "cobbled together plane" is so well done it actually looks exactly like the real thing - is this the place then? I vote Yes."
I vote no, BUT if it looks like a Typhoon and within game parameters has a proper flight model and damage model for a Typhoon then OK.
" It's just a question of establishing high standards right from the off. Jolly will see to that."
That is a given based on his and LtWolfs' actions heretofore and their responses to all questions raised today.
"Re the 'credibility' of this site, I advise you not to worry - so far as certain people are concerned it has no credibility, and never will. 'All modding is illegal' - remember? Quite honestly, who does this site have to curry favour with? The rabid anti-modders will never change their minds - the rest of us are pretty relaxed about it all."
I understand that we will never have any credibility with certain factions and that most here are pretty relaxed about it all but there are many in neither camp looking on, waiting to see the direction taken here regarding just what mods will be added to IL2 through this site.
I do believe that effort should be made to reassure onlookers that AAA is only interested in enhancing the game, not using the tools, however obtained, to cheat anyone.
Today has been an eye opener and most here can be proud of their reactions to questions raised.
So, hugs all 'round and someone please make some missions for the new QMB maps, OK?
