I only fly mods on servers where I know they are welcome, and I think thats all anyone needs to do.

I think you would be more likely to encounter a cheat on a vanilla server than one which accepts mods (think about the psychology of a cheater for a moment) , and even then it would be a rare occasion.

I think the overall attitude here is very promising. The attitude at Ubi is only to be expected.
