I think we are losing focus here as regards a Statement of Intent.
It has nothing to do with an individuals' honor or morality, ie: the statement has nothing to do with "ME" or any other member here.
It has to do with the goals set by the owners of this site, the guys who set it up and maintain and moderate it.
No one has to concede anything to anyone. It is a simple, easy to understand statement that this site does not and will not promote changes to the game that involve tampering with Flight or Damage models for planes already in the game.
Would such a statement limit those here making planes out of bits and pieces and the support given here by the site owners?
No, as long as these planes do not appear online in servers that do not want mods.
I sympathize with onliners who want a certain purity in the game but I believe it is their responsibility to safeguard their servers.
If there is such a statement prominent at the top of these forums and it is adhered to, there is nothing for offliners to complain here about.
AAA cannot control what people do online nor should they be expected to do so.
