don't bother, i started yesterday on the murmansk map, it's easier to start a new hole map from scratch and srtm files than spending time on creating a whole new elevation for the map manually :x

is 150km west and east of tobruk enough? how much in the south do you want? :lol:

Yes, I too was starting from SRTM data and from the Crimea map. The interesting part is at least from El Agheila to Sollum, so 150 km West and East from Tobruk should suffice .

The inland part is enough 150-180 km, I would leave some sea in the North for ship action.

So it's useless that I start my own project, but I am willing to collaborate to yours if you want.
