They are permanent changes, not consistant with the modelling of the aircraft by 1C. Stock flyable aircraft need to remain generally representative to their type as modelled - without the ability to remove the DM of that armour in the aircraft programming (a no-no in itself) it's an unfair advantage that is not true to the original model.
