I've tried it and I like it. A fantastic improvement overall and very subtlely done (it would be easy to overdo this effect).
There are two minor niggles, one of which is mentioned above. At night I find the canopies look unrealistic as they tend to glow - almost as though there is a light source inside the cockpit:
The other thing I noticed is that some of the Mat files used by Mat Manager look too shiny with this mod. In particular, RAF grey lettering. I think this is because Aces used what he called 'McWolf's lighting parameters' to alter transparency and specularity on his new Mats to make them look like part of the skin. Whatever he did seems to be overlaid by the global change in specularity caused by this mod, so some of the Mat markings look slightly odd now - a little too reflective, almost as though they are cut from aluminium foil. This is only a problem with pale grey markings I think.
This could be solved by some clever person editing the Mat Manager files as necessary, I suppose.
Anyway, the above are only minor observations and I will definitely be keeping this mod as I think it adds a lot of realism overall. :wink:
