I just started a thread with the same problem.....
you say to stop a mod working...put an x in front of its folder name....but Qtim said to put a - in front.....which is it?
and I also found...as Qtim said that the files are used in alphabetical order in the MODS folder....... so if you put a new mod (say a PBN) folder in there ....and your original version came in with the re-named files folder.........and re-named the files folder 'basic'...as some have done....since B comes before P it will use the old one
....so you need to re-name your old files folder....Zfiles...or Zbasic....then any newer mods will go in front of it
