One b-29 gunner could control two turrets at one time. This would be nice. 
They also had a primative computer in each gun station that took into account wind direction,air speed and bullet drop. From what I have read if the gunner could put his cross hairs on a japanese plane and it was close enough it was going down. It was quite accurate. 8)
