Thanks for the comment but seeing that I posted this really late after getting excited over a solid nose, I never clearly stated what I wanted to say.
What I had meant to point out is there is a was to trick the system into skinning the glazed version, how that can be used with this mod I am not sure.
If however, an option were to be included in the arming screen (toggle switch, solid/glazed) ) that would be very cool. If the adding the B25 solid nose requires one of the B25's to be sacrificed, I suggest killing all together the Lerche and adding a new folder called B25J_Solid to the game, add the 8 50's in the nose and be done with it.
Now on the B25 shown. What you modeled is the late B25C painted glazing version. To be correct the bottom turret would need to be removed and the turret fuselage position skinned over. The two cheek guns on either side should be the early type (smaller in size and lower on the fuselage); the rear gunner position should have the glazing dome removed and either a single or dual 50 be placed in the rear gunner position.
If however you want to model a field modified D strafer (painted glazed nose), you can use the J body, move the J turret aft as you currently have placed it, retain the waist gunner position and paint the glazed area after adding 4'50's . Hence the armament would be identical to the J with the slight modification of moving the top turret aft.
Again, if sacrificing one of our B25's so we can use a D model I'd really have to think about it. It would be best if we could add a new folder and plane to the game or kill the Lerche and place the B25D strafer in its place.
While I'm at it, the C and G have needed the bottom turret removed since they were included in the game. Also, the antenna mast in the J is in the wrong place. It should be moved off center above the waist gunner and the antenna wire should lead from the left rudder to just behind the pilot rear window.
If you need 345th BG 498th BS 'Falcons' generic skins talk to Skunk. Also, if you need photos, PM me.
