I imagine you have this painting which shows the Darwin layout,main interest is that the roads were still all dirt and the layout of the wharves.Just above and to the right of the foreground Spit you can see the oil tanks,they are still there to this day,albeit rebuilt.East Point is the very extreme outcrop of land under the Lion stamp.

This shows Parap,Winnellie(Tent camp) Raaf base Darwin,Position of Oil and Fuel tanks,if you look at the b&w pic ofParap i posted above you will be able to see the orientation of the airfield and buildings.The white water tower and main hangar you see in a couple of those b&w shots at the main darwin airport is also on this map and the concrete pad shape may help with the orientation of the rest of the airport.
