Only problem I can see (don't know if they can get around it) is that any top turret cannot move lower than level. I think it would work if the straight forward/back view was what you would see if you were in the top turret of a b25 or A20 and looked at a 45degree angle upwards (this would give you 45 degrees above and below the horizon).
