I've set up a couple of missions on different maps, which have a lot of ground action happening.
What I've noticed is that the ground battles play out very differently if I change the time of day to night, as opposed to day.....
An example of this is an attack by German armor on allied artillery emplacements. During the day, the artillery manages to pound ten kinds of hell out of the armor, but at night, the tanks mostly get right up to the artillery, and pound them to bits...the only thing I changed in the mission was the time of day...
Just wondering what the reason for this might be, it does seem as if the ai (for ground vehicles, etc) is affected by the different visibilities.
Where would one start looking to see what causes these differences? Maybe we could find out and possibly implement the same for aircraft? I don't know.....just a thought...
