Idea: World War I trenchlines and no-man's land

I've always wanted to do a WWI campaign with the biplanes available in game, but there aren't any maps with a proper trenchline / no-man's land represented. I was thinking that instead of making trenches with the in-game objects, we could just make a texture to represent them and create a whole trench network (from above, anyway) without any FPS hit.

What do you think?

P.S. how do you open the texture .tga files? Irfanview doesn't recognize the filetype for some reason.


trenches , or kind of , texture is already in the game ( check "vpmedia's texture library" sticky )

as for opening textures , find one you like .... set it as background0_tga ( like for loading splash screen) ..... print screen while game loads .... past in graph editor .... resize .....
