well , installer extract files to default game directory :
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\
if you have game installed in any other directory you need to change destination folder ( installer) by clicking on "Browse" button at first screen and browse to your game directory .... then click install ...
