Thanks for your answers, but... I was actually looking for an answer from somebody who is working on the mods. Our server won't demand ppl use mods to fly there.

A hoped-for answer might say something like: "It may be possible for it to look as if those flying the Spit MKI will appear to be flying in MkV's even though the FM, DM, and weapons functions will be that of the mkI.

Anyway...it's just a question with some hope tacked on.

yes this is the problem to consider- you have the same named plane but have a different FM
