Ah, but they are still release in pairs. The exception is the Do-335 which allows the dropping of single 250kg bombs by coupling each hardpoint with a bomb to an invisible hardpoint that doesn't have one. The code automatically releases the bomb and the non-existent bomb (thus allowing a release in pairs that only releases one bomb at a time).
