When you are flying against the computer, all the AI airplanes can see you when you are in the middle of a cloud.

Well, perhaps a MOD can be created to pretend that your airplane is invisible for the AI airplanes, that way you can hide inside a cloud. When you are out, all is back to normal.

That would be nice but i believe it would require major re-writting of the code itself, which can turn out to be very hard if not impossible. The AI seem to have radar vision - if you think about it, it's not just the clouds it's night too - and this is probably hard-coded into the game. We're not talking about adding object to the game (like maps, planes, etc) which is hard enough but still outside of the game code itself so still possible to mod, we're talking disassembling the game engine, reverse-engineering it, making a change to the AI and putting it back together. Very, very hard to do if you don't have the source files, and something tells me Oleg ain't gonna share the source anytime soon...
