I have not modified any texture files with my engine start flame mod. Falco, I have seen this with an explosion mod I tried once. Found that one of the tga files had been customized and well, not very well done. If you at any stage installed such a mod checkout the files within that mod and open up any fire related tga's in a viewer, eg photoshop. If you find one cut it out of the mod and test it. Hope this helps
