Interesting, from what I've read 11 seconds also comes up as a bomb delay time used by Mosquito crews. But delayed action bombs with far longer time fusing were also used.
From the book "Mosquito Wooden Wonder" by Edward Bishop, this little excerpt from a mission detail where in 1943, Australian Wing Commander Hughie Edwards VC led 10 Mosquitoes on a 1200 mile round trip raid on the Burmeister and Wain works in occupied Denmark...
"When Wing Commander Edwards lands at base he checks his fuel. He is down to his last fifteen gallons which would have carried him about another six and a half miles.
When they had recovered from the shock of that discovery, the crews tuned into a German radio report giving the enemy's version of their day out over Denmark. It had been a fruitless effort, the news reader said, because most of the bombs were duds which failed to explode. A roar of laughter went up around the radio. The listeners new only too well that their bombs had been fitted with delayed action fuses. They knew to a second at what time each bomb would explode, and called an impromptu part to celebrate. For each detonation there was another round of drinks."
However much as I'd like a more realistic bomb fusing ability, I fear the onliners would put the clamps on it from the start. Imagine the mayhem bombs with 5 or 10 minuite delay would have in an online "game" hock:
