I had the same problems, and I even lost some of the axis engine sounds, well, they were so quiet that I need my desktop speakers on full blast to hear them, but then I'd get deaf every single time I'd fire :roll:

Reinstall it, if that doesn't work, try upgrading to SFX 0.6, that cures sometimes different medicine works :wink:
