If it's anything as tidy and beautifully done as the Mark I Spit I've a gentle suspicion this will be a sure win for its own slot. Agreed they should be applied sparingly though, we all definitely want to avoid a Frankengame no longer suitable for genuine warbird enthusiasts and part time RL pilots.
That being said I personally believe il2 would benefit greatly from the Me-410 with its 603 engines and hopefully very historical weapons options and flight characteristics.
How are you developing the FM? I understand the Maddox team had at least one aircraft engineer personally involved (was on the SOW/BOB DVD I think). I realise much of it could be based on the Ca-210 FM but for improved low speed stability and a more forward centre of gravity (gear would also have to be moved forward and if the wings cannot be changed, the FM should at least pretend they were for the historical effect), along with a hefty weight increase.
The 603A engine is a monstrous change, a totally different animal to the 605 at around 44 litres instead of some 36 litres. The 605 was just a rebored 601 but this baby has a whole new block and anciliary package (the stock 603A supercharger was put on the 605 to make the AS engine with a 7km rated altitude). Torque comes on line very easily and quickly, with some 1580PS available at sea level by 2500rpm at the military setting (power 90-100). Standard rated altitude is like the 605A (5.7km) although high altitude variants of the 603 were available. Another option was counter-rotating propellers, opposite crank-spin 603A was designated 603D though I am unsure how many 410's in service were fitted with both engines, whether any or all...but the 603 series was designed for this feature (being intended as a late war multi-engine bomber motor after all).
The 603E and F (counter-rotating engines respectively) were I think used only in the He-219 (limited production) but had improved take off performance (1800PS up from 1750PS) and a rated altitude of 7km (for more effective use of MW-50 boost which could be fitted to this aircraft). I think some Do-217N nightfighters were fitted with the 603E also, whilst the Ju-88G-7 carried Jumo 213E engines from the Ta-152H. Not sure if the Me-410A-2 was fitted with 603E/F engines, it is possible as many of these were used for day interception in 44 and often carried much more weight than intended. The 603E/F is the equivalent of the 605AS for this series, not as complicated as a two-stage supercharger but fitted with a high pressure/high altitude single stage supercharger for similar effect at altitude (gives away about 50PS of low altitude performance and loses a little acceleration from cruise).
The 603G I think was intended to power aircraft like the 410-A2 (1900PS take off) and also the Fw-190D-14 (with the LA/L or N motor in the D-15) but as it turned out it only made very limited production and found its way in a couple of Fw-190D prototypes and that's it AFAIK.
I think even with the 1750PS 603A we're all going to be pretty impressed by the circa. 625km/h performance of the Me-410. A tank compared to a Mosquito and not much slower. Plus it fills the hole left following the Me-110G in game. After that all you've got is single engine fighter-bombers (the 190D can't even get a bomb loadout), or the leap to jets. The Luftwaffe is conspicuously missing this important period 43-44 in modelled aircraft to put in missions.
