I'm getting ready to pull the Sapphire card and I will post the model,serial, etc.
I went back into the catalyst Panel and moved everything in 3D Back to default, and then looked over the settings.
I then lowered them to the lowest settings possible
My 3dMARKO3 = 9844
mY 3dmARK05=4516
I couldn't get a complete run on the programs because the computer kept rebooting.
I change MA Timining to 1T and changed the setting on Dram Voltage to High. I understand neither setting will hurt the card.
The Sapphire card is a firggin joke. It will not run my monitor with the DVI cable. In fact, I sent the darned card back to Sapphire 2 times and EACH TIME they sent back another card same type. I paid 15.00 each time, so I figured to just screw it last time they returned the card and it didn't work with DVI cable.
I realize there should be some overhead since the signal must be coverted digital/analog. It has always annoyed me, mostly because it's just not right.
I didn't know the fraud thing about Sapphire, but my experience with them has been lsss then favorable. They were nice enough, but their stuff should work.
I mentoned to a friend the other day how bad the Chinese are about cutting corners and lying is such a way of life fof them. I'm amazed and grateful we still get the quality in Computer hardware from them and they've done away with most of the competition, except among themselves.
Don't know why sound cards are so expensive. They are simple and cheap to builid.
Anyway... off the soap box and on to the task at hand.
