I'm wanting to tackle a map of my part of the world one day - the Cape Peninsula (South Africa)- Lots of mountains, coastline etc. It's a pretty daunting task from where I'm sitting at the moment... hock:
Historically, not of much significance, other than a few coastal U-boat incidents - but very scenic, and should be great to fly over!
Don't hold you breath - this could take a year or so, considering that my free time is becoming less these days...

South Africa is absolutely beatiful. I have been there several times after "bush tours" in eastern /central Africa. I fell in love with SA so much, that i almost moved in.
BTW doesn't some parts of my map look like veld with kopjes and stuff. At least it brings some good memories for me...
