I think for that effect you need a mod that simulates your shutter speed too... or at least set your refresh rates for your VGA-Monitor combo to around 24... which is impossible I believe

However getting rid of the disk would be a good idea, I think the guys from ED that are building Black Shark have made the helicopter spin its rotors (which are a ton more complicated than these old low poly propellers) continuously and look OK.
Like getting rid of the 2D dot for the distance aircraft would be an upgrade as the graphics power has increased considerably since that compromise technique. :roll:
