If you fly Scorched Earth there's always people you need to kick from the server because there is only 32 slots for pilots!
There's no problem with 32 planes+ ai aircraft +200 tanks +400 guns +250 trucks.

I know one group who tested with 1000 tanks, 600 artillery guns, about 100 AA and 400 trucks with more then 20 pilots and ai of 16. The mission was flyable but pilots had to drop there graphics because the mission was quite large. Host had a 10/10 network in use at the time.
