Fabianfred,
The solution for the BoB map was a missing object.
I must say that this map will totally do the AVG justice compared the Burma garbage we were offered with the stock Burma map. I REALLY want to start working with this map.
I am willing to help in any way possible as far as testing, I am starting to gain a decent knowlege of the file structures and it seems to me that the save issues are congruent with missing a file here or there. I have been modding CFS3 for almost 4 years now. When it comes to modding CFS3, it only takes an improperly placed comma or quotation somewhere to bring the whole game to a grinding halt. From what I have seen with IL-2, it seems to be a bit more forgiving. For instance, in CFS3 if there is a missing object called for by the sim...CTD. In IL-2 if there is a missing object...it simply does not display it.
One thing I did notice while experimenting with Canon's BOB map was, the buildings would load on the map WITHOUT a static.ini file (provided the new objects are installed in the mods folder). The only thing the static.ini seems to controll is the appearance of these objects in the FMB object list.
Again, the IL-2 file structure is very new to me but I am learning. Again, I will help any way possible.
Justin
