FW-190D11 anyone?

According to Joe Baugher the D-11 used the JuMo 213F motor as a ground attack prototype. The D-12 which essentially switched the MK-108 from the outer wings to a single 30mm firing through the propeller hub, was the variant which entered production but only a few were delivered before war's end. These aircraft had around 2050PS at take off with MW-50 but had a top speed of some 730km/h due to improved altitude performance. Their secondary role was as a fighter for which the type was also very well suited.

This would have been probably the last of the JuMo engine Doras to enter production, as there were plans to switch to the DB-603 engine Kurt Tank had preferred all along. A production of D-14 and D-15 types, using the 603E or LA for the high altitude D-14 and the 603G or EB for the medium altitude D-15, which were otherwise much as a D-9. They did not have the internal fuel load, new aerofoil and some of the equipment of the Ta-152C with which they would obviously share some features (the airframe remained virtually unchanged from the D-9 and it was quite a bit lighter than a Ta-152).

The Ta-152C production aircraft themselves were viewed by the RLM as a heavy fighter, or Me-410 replacement, the subtypes denoting armament and equipment variations for specific roles. Its stablemate was of course the Ta-152H high altitude interceptor, both types designed to remain contemporary coming into the world of jets. The Ta-152C was to have gained intercoolers to improve the DB-603LA's reliability at extended maximum settings, new engine designation 603L. Whilst the C-3 switched its MK-108 for a MK-103 which has about three times the muzzle energy, for a reduced ammo capacity of 80 rounds (down from 90).

Ultimately all these aircraft have similar performance, easily the equal of Allied post war piston fighters. I'd love to see all of them in il2.
