If you have not actually tried making a map, then several of the difficulties involved will be unknown to you.
The Channel map is 1:2 scale, but even when working at 1:1 scale the limits of the game engine and the way it has been designed are annoying. Getting accurate data from the satellites is one thing, but the finest we can detail is limited by what is represented by one pixel, which in this case is 50 metres. Here in Thailand there are many beautiful limestone hills and mounts, but because they are quite small in width the il2 engine just ignores them and they do not appear.
