Historically correct De havilland... Well they started out as Variable pitch and were converted to Constant Speed operation 3d wise external to the spinner they looked the same.

Thanks for that, it was confusing me I'd read at some sources the "de Havilland constant speed" and yet at others the description that it was a simple variable pitch with three settings.
