I have the same stick.
When I first flew in turbulant weather I was kicked about so much I went into the "gain" settings and turned it down from 100% to 80% which was more manageable.
Do you have the FF switch thrown in Hardward Setup/Input ? as follows ? Remember, you have to have the power cord plugged in to show this switch.
