I have always wanted to see an early P-38 for both the Pacific and Euro theaters. The F model would be a great addition, or the G model. They were slower than the later ones but still fast. The E model did not see much service and not many were made, it was the F that was the first one made in large quantities and was actually ready for the fight. I always wondered why Gibbage only made the later variants. Leaves a big hole for the year 1942. A modded P-38J would work but it would have to loose the beard radiators in favor of the sleeker, more streamlined but less effective early ones like on the "Glacier Girl".
