I hope they'll help you to improve your mod. Btw, the Bf-109F-2 in game arms firing has the nice spiralled trails, IMHO the best and most natural looking of all planes in game... Is that possible to make something like these?

Once again, thank you for you work.

My best wishes,
Mangas.
i think this had been noted before, but i will bring it up again........

you will see that the reason behind the "spiral" effect on the guncam footage is quite simply because the camera is fixed to the wing, when you fire the gun it gives a circular motion on the camera which in turn gives a spiral effect to the smoke when recorded on film. the smoke trails them selves dont actually have a major spiral effect, it is just enhanced through the camera vibration.

There is a little more to it than that.
The air that the bullet or projectile is passing through is not uniform. It is moving. Especially given the fact the the air is disturbed by the bullet passing through it. Light a candle or match and when it burns out watch the smoke that comes from it. Do this outside though as inside the air is mostly still. The smoke will not rise in a perfectly straight line. The smoke trail will be bent by the moving air, causing that effect.
An even neater experiment that I have done is to fasten a sparkler (like the ones you can get for the 4th of July) to an arrow, and shoot it with a bow. That is very much like a tracer, and you can see the smoke trail behind that as well. It has the same effect of looking all bent and distorted. The longer the smoke has been in the air, the more bent and spread out it becomes till it disappears.

I have tried this mod and it looks very good. Thank you very much for the time you put into this.
