I greatly appreciate your effort to describe a step-by-step procedure of installing mods, it is very useful.
I shall try it after having enough time and courage. In my special case, I buyed the version IL2:46 ver 4.08m a year ago, then on January or so I installed 4.09b1m version because of Slovakia map. Then, later, I installed Soundmod 0.93 and made most of AI planes flyable, via a filelist method. When I tried the wrapper method in order to get modded maps, the game crashed during loading, so I re-installed
everything again without the wrapper. QMBplus works well. Map mods don't.
I am avare that I must follow your schedule properly, this I write just for mentioning the necessity of howto's similar to yours.
