It's not "there AI anyway" it's "they're AI anyway. Sorry to correct your grammer but I do that sort of thing. And yes, lots of us like to man defensive gunner postions. If you rely on AI to shoot down enemy planes tailing you, you get shot down more often than not. If one mans one of the positions himself, he can shoot a lot better than the AI usually. I often allow the AI to fly the plane for a while if I'm attacked, since I am a far better marksman than the AI gunners.
